#OOTD: LEMON SQUIRT

"Life is too short to wear boring clothes."
Carly Cushnie

Brighten up the mood.

The trend? Neon yellow.

You may have seen squirts of it on the catwalks this spring. Particularly in the collections of designers like Versace, Prabal Garang and Matthew Adams Dolan. But in case you’ve missed it, here’s some unadulterated, full-frontal (and of course bright yellow) inspiration for you to contemplate:

At Milan Fashion Week, Donatella Versace incorporated the neon trend into her spring collection. One critic quipped: The future — clearly — is bright for Versace.

From catwalk to closet... Here's how to make this look RTW.

If you’re ready to incorporate neon yellow into your wardrobe, here are a few tips on how to do it: Go head-to-toe. If you’re feeling particularly brave, you can wear it from top to bottom. But be warned, when I presented myself to my husband in the outfit below, he inexplicably and rather exuberantly exclaimed: “Lemon squirt!” Pair it with neutrals. If you’re feeling more conservative, wear it with neutral colours that will make it pop (think nude, beige, camel or khaki). Avoid wearing it with stronger or brighter colours like black and fuchsia. Here’s how I wore it this season:
